This event is an “open consultation session” focused on Q & A. Therefore, only generic issues will be addressed. If there are any specific issues that require thorough consultation, patients are advised to organise an individual online appointment with the learning facilitator (ref. Header of our website).
- Structuring of the session: Presentation by learning facilitator – 30 minutes; Tea Break: 15 minutes; Q & A – 30 minutes
Only professional attendees (incl. interns) will receive the Certificate of Attendance which could be used for demonstrating CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points.
ABOUT THE VIRTUAL OPEN SESSION
In the light of COVID-19 crisis, latest research studies have indicated a drastic reduction in food outings, drive-ins, take-away and home-deliveries. Although, such a change in eating and lifestyle may have reduced intake of high-calorie foods, the ill-effects of Work-from-Home or Work-at-Home (viz. low physical activity, lack of socialisation) have increased.Only time may reveal whether COVID-19 crisis is a bane or boon for foodies.
People with improper dietary habits continue to suffer, whereas others who Work-from-Home or Work-at-Home lack knowledge to deal with the dietary issues associated with lack of exercise and socialisation. Therefore, this virtual open consultation session has been designed to help those individuals while emphasising on lifestyle intervention effects on dietary and nutritional outcomes during COVID-19 crisis.

Mamata is a Consultant Dietitian & Nutritionist specialised in Clinical Dietetics (Diabetes Management – Type 1 & Type 2 Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, Lifestyle Intervention), FSM, and Community healthcare. She has over two decades of experience across a wide range of healthcare related functions and multiple healthcare settings in helping her patients for achieving optimal dietary and nutritional outcomes.
Her dietetic and nutrition consulting practice has been mainly focused on diabetes management, medications, insulin, evidence-based MNT, assessment of nutrition and carbs assessment, and diabetes education, counselling and lifestyle intervention for a culturally diverse patient populations across the world. She is a Life Member of Indian Dietetics Association, and holds a GCP certificate from USA based Quintiles Transnational, Duke Clinical Research Institute, and National Institute of Health.
